IC693CMM301 is the original standard Genius bus communication module for GE Fanuc 90-30 PLC, installed in any slot of CPU baseplate or expansion rack, powered by rack internal 5VDC logic bus. It adopts noise-resistant token-passing Genius serial bus, supporting daisy-chain wiring with shielded twisted pair cable, maximum 31 Genius nodes (remote I/O modules, other PLC GCM cards) on one bus segment, two-end termination resistors required. Global data exchange capacity: max 256 bits (32 bytes) send/receive global %G data between PLC stations, supports mapping %I, %Q, %AI, %AQ, %R register data to Genius bus for cross-PLC shared control. Two front panel diagnostic LEDs: OK (Green) for module power/self-test status; COMM (Yellow) for bus communication activity. Blinking COMM indicates bus error, address conflict or disconnected slave nodes. Main difference from IC693CMM302 (GCM+): CMM302 upgrades global data to 1024 bytes, while CMM301 limited to 32 bytes, lower data throughput for small-scale distributed I/O systems.
